Childhood and Early Modeling Career
Heather was born in Calgary on July 25, 1988, where she spent her childhood with her younger brother Steven and older sister Tracy.
At the age of 12, she was scouted by Kelly Streit, the owner of Mode Models International, at the Calgary Woman’s Show. Already standing 178 cm tall, Heather was invited by Kelly to participate in a model search competition, which she won. Though initially unsure about pursuing modeling, she agreed to work with Streit a few times a month.
A Rapidly Growing Career
By the time she was nearly 15, Heather moved to New York City to further her modeling career. There, she wrote her first article for Italian Vogue. By spring 2003, at the age of 18, she graced the runway at the Givenchy fashion show.
During the spring and summer of 2004, Heather walked in 43 fashion shows, including for iconic brands such as Chanel, D&G, and Louis Vuitton. The following year, during the spring/summer and fall/winter seasons, she participated in over 70 shows.
Her modeling career soared further when Heather debuted on the Victoria’s Secret runway at age 18. She continued modeling for the brand from 2004 to 2009. Her light chestnut hair and gray-blue eyes became the envy of her peers and fans. To prepare for Victoria’s Secret shows, Heather regularly hit the gym and practiced yoga. Standing 180 cm tall, she weighed just 52 kg at the height of her career.
Heather featured in campaigns for H&M, Converse, Victoria’s Secret, Levi’s, Mango, Swarovski, and renowned designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein. She appeared on the covers of Vogue, Dazed, and more, as well as in beauty campaigns and editorials for beauty-focused publications.

Heather also tried her hand at acting, appearing in the full-length horror film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, based on the Silent Hill video game series. The film tells the story of Heather Mason (played by Clemens), who, on the eve of her 18th birthday, learns that her assumed identity is false and is drawn to the mysterious town of Silent Hill. Released in Canada on October 26, 2012, the film grossed over $55.9 million globally but received mixed reviews from critics.
In addition to modeling and acting, Heather is an avid fan of wakeboarding, snowboarding, and soccer.
